Cinefantastique Online
Cinefantastique, the «magazine with a sense of wonder», was one of the first magazines to deal with «fantastic» movies in a serious way. In the 1980's and 1990's Cinefantastique was considered to be the best regular publication all arround. After the publisher Frederick S. Clarke commited suicide in October 2000 the quality of the magazine could barely be maintained. After several unsuccessful tries to relaunch the magazine with a modern look - including the change of name to CFQ - it ceased publication in 2006.
Now there's something new by Steve Biodrowski, former editor of Cinefantastique. He wants to continue the tradition of the print magazine with his website Cinefantastique Online. His reports cover news in the film business as well as retrospectives of classics from former times. Among his supporters are Alan Jones, the British correspondent for Cinefantastique and author of various books on the genre (i.e. Profondo Argento). A visit to the young «website with a sense of wonder» is highly recommended!
